A scary school

I came across this comment on the topic Traditional vs. Progressive Schools at  mom.exchange.ph and boy, it really raised my eyebrows to the top! Click this link to read on.

I could not believe that this happens for real. Kids not behaving properly will be tied to their chairs in school? What kind of school is that?! And is that even called a school?

Schools should be fun not like this. Grrr.

my sons go to a school that uses seatbelts for unruly kids. but they don’t use it without the parents’ permission.
however, one time, my eldest son –who is a certified 100% troublemaker –got into a new teacher’s nerves and she had him strapped to his chair until our driver came after class.
naturally, our driver told me that and i raised hell! i stormed to the school and caused a major scene. i had the teacher fired the very next day and threatened the directress that i’d go public about this incident. i was in advertising after all.
in the end, i didn’t pull my kids out of the school but they’re really very careful now. guess they didn’t know who they were messing with.

Really? have you had your child been assessed for adhd? just wondering. sad naman to hear you say na 100% troublemaker yung son mo :(
i don’t want labeling eh. but why didn’t you pull out your son?

naah…that was just a term of endearment. but yeah, he can be a handful at times. he’s a bully kasi and he likes to play pranks on smaller kids, even on his teachers. rather than naming it some kind of condition, i would rather term it as ‘pagiging pilyo’ :)

oh and i’m pulling my sons out of THAT school soon. i just learned that i wasn’t getting my money’s worth with my youngest son who has speech delay.

chair strappers! child development liars! what next? i’m not staying around to find out.
